The solution for me while using VLC For playing directly from disc are to change the options :

Video> output > openGL for windows
input codecs > hardware accelerated > Direct 3D11

and to fix a problem i had with HDR switch in Nvidia settings:

add VLC to program settings

Low latency > off
power ...

If you are playing the discs directly (which gave me a lot of skipping). The short, when using VLC player you will need to change some settings.

options> video > output > OpenGL for windows
input/codecs > direct3D11
if you have NVidia add VLC to manage 3D settings .
Vsync > on
low latency > off ...
