Re: Question about free part of MakeMkv
It says that makemkv will always be free to use on DVDs. I do not ever intend to rip anything but DVDs so if somehow the web site was not available in the future would my current beta version of makemkv continue to work on DVDs only? Sort of. It will, but eventually it will declare itself "too...

Question about free part of MakeMkv
It says that makemkv will always be free to use on DVDs. I do not ever intend to rip anything but DVDs so if somehow the web site was not available in the future would my current beta version of makemkv continue to work on DVDs only? I am wondering if I should purchase to assure I would always have ...

There are other good video players for the iPad but this is the one I use. I just copy the files from m...

Would like to use previous version

Is it possible to use an older version? I am not using a paid registration code, just the one listed that is good ...

Re: MakeMkv and region settings
MakeMKV should normally ignore region coding. You should change the drive region to a value that you use most, and MakeMKV still should open any region disc. Opening a disc with mismatching region usually takes a more time. The only exception would be if you have one of the drives that really enfor...

Re: MakeMkv and region settings
I did not get any prompts from the operating system. Windows 7 system was always Region 1 since I purchased it. I installed MakeMkv, ran the program and used file open within MakeMkv to load dvd then after ripping I went into properties for dvd drive (right click on drive) and it was set to Region 2...

MakeMkv and region settings
Just got started with MakeMkv (on sd dvd don't have blueray yet) and it is working perfectly. Well done. My question concerns the fact that I have many Region 1 and Region 2 dvds that I want to put on a hard drive to use with my WD Live Plus. When I put a region 2 dvd n my computer drive and used Ma...
