Re: octobers key

Re: How do you know...
Your best bet is to look at the chapter list for each, which is usually included as an insert in the packaging, and compare the counts. Your second best bet is to rip the second and third titles and then watch them.

Re: Can't open any Blu Ray
I've been having the same problem with practically every disc, including ones that did work. My solution has been to use AnyDVD to get rid of the AACS, unfortunately...

Re: Program reads data faster than it can write to disk
What the message means is that your optical drive is able to read data faster than MakeMKV can write it to your hard drive - though obviously, in the case of an ISO image, you're not really ripping from an optical disc… Hence the message should probably only be displayed when ripping from an optica...

Program reads data faster than it can write to disk
I get this message a lot whenever I use an ISO as a source. Most drives read faster than they write; is this really a necessary message?

Re: Create MKV from ripped disks?
As long as the ripped video data includes the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and all the other requirements, you should be able to use the "Open Files" Menu/Toolbar item to select the video data for each video.

Re: Lost Season 3 Disc 1 Track 5
You could always try cleaning the disc. If you have a more detailed or unique suggestion than every other cleaning method I've read, I'd love to know it. All my discs look perfectly fine to me, and I've cleaned them in every way I can think of, but most of them have issues of one sort or another. I...

Lost Season 3 Disc 1 Track 5

Re: 7.1 not Recognized - only 5.1
HDMI is High Definition audio and video in a single cable. I'm talking about a computer though, not a Blu-ray or something of the sort so my audio and video are coming from a different place (graphics card and sound card) They wouldn't be if you're using an HDMI-capable video card. Every card that ...

Re: Consider other container file format than .mkv
There are plenty of free and open source utilities to split MKVs into their raw data streams for re-encoding if you prefer another format. MKV has always been a personal favorite of mine as far as video containers go, and I'm not sure what "issues" you're talking about, other than a few ol...

Re: Error handling
I've used a disc cleaner and transported it from that cleaner to the drive using shammy cloths, so it's most certainly not any actual defect on the discs. I've literally been trying to get one of these discs to copy right for the last three months... The drive may have some issue, I'll be buying a c...
