I'm interested in trying to get this to work as well. I know FreeBSD may not be as mainstream as Linux, but there's definitely interest.

Hi,
I would second the request to natively support the .dvdmedia extension. Granted it's easy to rename, but it would be nice if makemkv recognized it without having to take the extra step to rename.
Keep up the great work though, makemkv has become a major component of my dvd media server project.
