Re: Security Preferences
I don't see the Anywhere option either. My guess is they removed this option in later versions of macOS, maybe with Sierra? You can still allow MakeMKV to run by right (option) clicking it an select Open, without having to change that general preference. You only have to do this once, after that you...

MakeMKV is not signed with Developer ID, but how about GPG?
So MakeMKV is not passing Gatekeeper, because it is not signed with a Developer ID: https://developer.apple.com/developer-id/ I'm guessing this centralized ID system is avoided because of the legal status of ripping programs in most countries (correct me if I'm wrong). So, why not use a decentralize...

Re: Reintroduce Mac OS X 10.5 compatibility!
10.5 came out in 2007. That's 200 years ago in computer years.
I wouldn't want the developer to waste time and money on continue to get MakeMKV to work on an OS that's not even supported by Apple, and used by a tiny amount of customers.
(I'm currently using 10.8.5 myself)

Re: Redundant notifications (Dock, window, NC)
Just to be clear, when I said alert window I meant the window that says something like "1 title completed" and an OK button. If the bouncing and this window can't be separated, then I don't mind getting rid of both. Of course, I don't know how many who would prefer the current behaviour. B...

Redundant notifications (Dock, window, NC)
First, thanks for a great program. I will probably buy a license soon. Now, to my question. When Makemkv has done its thing, I get notified in 3 ways: bouncing Dock icon, an alert window, and a notification from Notification Center. I only need one notification, the one from NC. For reference, Handb...

Re: MKV ONLY or FULL DISC IMAGE (ISO)
MakeMKV can create a full disc backup, but it creates a folder and not an ISO. So you have to create the ISO yourself with Disk Utility. I followed this guide:

Or even better: similar to what Ripit has.

Re: A little Codec info
You could search for the title at blu-ray.com and see what codec it is using. For example: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Star-Trek-The-Original-Series-Season-3-Blu-ray/7192/ Makemkv doesnt change the codec, it just creates an mkv container. Blu-ray movies use one of two codecs, VC-1 or AVC. Older mo...
