Re: New twist in anti-copy technology
When I run into these problems I use a program called BDINFO, it tells you the playlists and the files that particular playlist uses.

Subtitle issue
I watch my content on a WDTV and being hard of hearing, Subtitles come in very handy. That said, I if I backup a movie with Makemkv I include the subs I want, the player sees the subs , but won't display them. I am then forced to demux the PGS subs out of the original movie, and mux it back in using...

Re: Error trying to convert Bluy Ray
Possibly but it says it expires on the 17th of September so that should be an issue. As for a permanent key, I haven't got the 70 right now, too many other expenses in life. Beta keys will continue to expire periodically, which is typical for beta software. If this is inconvenient to you then consi...

I must have missed that completely, yes it works with that key.
Thanks

Error trying to convert Bluy Ray
Makemkv popped up and said my version was too old and download the latest. So I did and now I get this MakeMKV v1.8.4 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode AACS directory not present, assuming unencrypted disc Evaluation period has expired, shareware functionality unavailable. Faile...

Re: Why does MakeMKV Decrypt?
Actually Makemkv sucks up a lot of CPU power, but that's not the issue at hand. The structure checking and figuring out the titles is trivial compared to the time it spends "decrypting" a decrypted disc.

Why does MakeMKV Decrypt?
I've been using this program to convert all my DVD's into episodic ones (WDTV doesn't handle episodic ISO's very well). All the discs have been ripped to the hard drive (taking out subs/languages I don't want) through AnyDVD. Once in a while (and it's inconsistent as to when or why), MakeMKV will sp...
