Yes, if you have the proper burning software, you can burn the backed up copy of the Blu-ray to a writable Blu-ray disc and it should play in your PS3 or any other Blu-ray player.

If you're talking about AACS, you're talking Bluray, not DVD. There is something wrong with the disc, as Mike has stated. I've ripped Signs with no issues.
