Re: I can't rip a disc to secondary HFS+ storage
I did as you suggested and it seems to work fine that way, but I think I'll stick to just using it in OS X. Thanks for all the thoughts/suggestions.

I can't rip a disc to secondary HFS+ storage
This is not a typical issue... and it may or may not be an issue with MakeMKV, but I'm going to ask about it anyway. I'm on a Hackintosh I built which is dual-booting OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 and Windows 7 Ultimate. I have zero issues ripping to secondary storage when I'm booted into OS X... everyt...

The nightlies have worked with Blu-ray subs for some time now. The nightlies have been pretty darn stable for me as well.

Re: Buying a key for a Beta
I personally don't consider this a "beta" because it's worked nearly flawlessly for me after using it for several years and ripping hundreds of Blu-ray movies. I paid because Mike listens to us and fixes bugs and updates often. He deserves the support. If you're a Blu-ray fanatic, this pro...

Re: Exact Bluray Copy
Yes, if you have the proper burning software, you can burn the backed up copy of the Blu-ray to a writable Blu-ray disc and it should play in your PS3 or any other Blu-ray player.

Opening Bleach DVD - DEBUG: Code 1861130
This disc has a mastering error. MakeMKV normally manages to work around these, but in your case the mastering error is on a VOB file with complex multiplex, and MakeMKV can't handle these. The next version should handle such errors and this disc in particular. Your commitment to this app and actua...

will follow FAQ you provided ... doubt its damaged disk though ... IsoBuster i used to generate ISO files after MakeMKV failed to open the disk always picked bad disk for me. I guess, on encountering bad/damaged "sectors" on disk MakeMKV tries to reread them ... failure to reread causes M...

Hi! LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input Likely a physically damaged or dirty disc... Had no errors while copying the disc first with Clone DVD. Randy That doesn't mean the disk shouldn't be cleaned. You can also try setting the read retry count to 25 instead of the default 5 in the p...

If you're talking about AACS, you're talking Bluray, not DVD. And, if a disk you recently ripped has a newer version of AACS than MakeMKV supports, it is possible the disk told your drive to disable the keys MakeMKV uses. This is what happened to anyone who tried ripping Total Recall; their drives ...

There is something wrong with the disc, as Mike has stated. I've ripped Signs with no issues.
