Re: Niche problem with superwide MakeMKV window macOS 10.13
Interestingly enough, since I use a dual display set up, if I run MakeMKV on the primary display (the one with the Dock), it works fine, and the window is resizeable. It might be just that when it's run on the secondary display that it has an issue with the MakeMKV window width. Or at least it's wor...

Re: Niche problem with superwide MakeMKV window macOS 10.13
You've always been able to resize a window on a Mac from the sides or corners.
It specifically will not allow me to make it narrower than more that the full width of the window, it will only let me make it wider.

Niche problem with superwide MakeMKV window macOS 10.13
Hello! So I needed to monkey about with a disc image and I fired up MakeMKV (1.15.4). The initial screen to select media was fine, but when I opened up the disc image, the window was now wider than the display. I had to grab the window and move it over to get it to start, because it won't let me red...

Re: Bug allows MKV files with leading period or dot
I'm sure nobody is looking here, but you can also use an FTP program (I've done this with Filezilla) to see the files to rename them without having to use a different OS.

Re: Have a TV Episode DVD which shows as one file in MakeMKV
Thx! Actually I was able to do it with MKVToolNix GUI! I play the exported large MKV in VLC and step forward by Chapters until I find the beginning of each episode and record the timecodes. A little time consuming but it works perfectly! Thx to everyone for the advice and tips! You don't need the t...

I had a similar issue, and it seems that sometimes the BD functions will fail.
Does your drive work with other programs when you use BD media? If not, you might need a replacement drive.

Re: Force output file to MKV (H.264)
I'm going to venture to guess that when you ran the source discs through CloneDVD that the source files were converted to h264, and then when you ripped those discs with MakeMKV, you had MKV files which had h264 video streams. As for using MakeMKV to determine the video stream type, open the disc wi...

Re: Combining multiple titles to one movie.mkv file
The idea of combining all of the titles on a disc into one file is silly to say the least. The next time you try to rip a Disney disc and you run out of space because each of the bogus titles is 20GB and there are twenty (or more) bogus titles, or titles with different language scenes, you'll really...

Re: SlySoft DEAD
I'm sorry to see AnyDVD go! Granted I've only used it a couple of times since I started using MakeMKV, it's still a great loss to consumers! But, if MakeMKV is based on AnyDVD HD, why are there warnings about the way AnyDVD HD does things in MakeMKV? When you have two different companies working on ...

1 - For HD, it's a month. For SD, it's forever.
2 - I don't know.
3 - If you mean in German/Deutsch, if it isn't currently, I doubt it will be in the future.

Re: Two identical streams for main movie - which to pick?
Instead of making MP4s, why not make smaller MKV files which will support all the good stuff that the MP4 container doesn't?

That appears to be an external drive, so make sure it isn't bus powered, and is plugged into a power adapter.

Re: New to Makemvk and have a few questions...
Subtitles are a pain in the backside. Expect to have to go through plenty of trial and error to find the correct ones on occasions.
