Auto selection of tracks causes tracks to be out of order
For ages I didnt set a default language in makemkv so it didnt auto select any tracks and everything would be ticked when I opened. I decided to configure it to English just to make my life easier but have noticed a weird behavior. If I have it auto-select English subtitle tracks but then decide to ...

Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!
First 3x S13J-X drives out of an order for 6 arrived 2 days after they were shipped.
Super quick turnaround. Great communication and drives arrrived well packaged and in perfect condition. All on 1.03 and libre drive enabled.
I think these drives are perhaps the pinnacle of optical drive design. Probably over the top really but it’s so nice when a company literally goes out and tries to make the absolute best thing they can in a field. Quite common in Japan and these drives are just like that. Super quiet regardless of read speed.
Really beautiful pieces of engineering. So glad I bought 6 of them and I can’t guarantee I won’t come back to Marty for some more 😂.
Thanks again Marty! I highly recommend Marty for anyone in Asia!

Validation for DVD Rip?
Hi, I know this isn't really a main feature of Makemkv but if I do a backup of a DVD makemkv will now give me a nice ISO file which is really helpful. My question is what are people's best practices for ensuring a good DVD rip? I know for blu ray makemkv checks the content hashes so you are sure you...

Re: Predator Blu-ray BD+ dump
Have confirmed that for “Chariots of Fire” 1080p blu ray i get red screen when trying to play the makemkv backup on magnetar player. If i play with VLC it will play provided i disable menus. Definitely the BD+ protection and red screen is tied in with the menus. If i do the rip using AnyDVD it remov...

Re: Predator Blu-ray BD+ dump
I have now proved myself wrong. Just leaving the backups encrypted doesnt seem to resolve. If i look at all the standard blu rays that I have backups of, most of them seem to have BD+ however very few of them actually wont play on my magnetar player. I have a couple that just wont play at all and do...

Re: Predator Blu-ray BD+ dump
Does the red screen only happen on these BD+ titles from backups when you have decrypted the files? If you just make a backup from makemkv without decrypting that should basically look the same as playing back the disc. Wondering if that resolves? I guess for these titles makemkv is applying the FUT...

Hi, I have been using makemkv for a few years now. Best software license money i ever spent. I have 2x slim pioneer drives (XD07 and XS07 from asmcom) and there is a massive difference between the 2 in terms of noise (XS07 is much quieter than the top loader). Anyway, have not posted before but I am...
