p.s. Please tell me that you've installed BOTH open-source and binary packages. ok...I installed both packages...but I'm lying :-) Probably need a message in makemkv like "install the binary package as well, you idiot!" when it can't find makemkvcon or any binaries it links to instead of ...

"Application Failed to Initialize" w/ 1.6.6 on Debian
Anyone ever see this or know of any way to get a more useful error msg?
Compile/install had no errors, but when I run makemkv, it puts up this error msg in a dialog box
System is 64-bit aptsid (Debian latest sid).
