Re: Questions on Forced Subtitles
I don't necessarily mind buying more drives to make space, but just Star Trek alone has over 550 hours of content, and that's before the new shows. With only DS9 and Voyager being on DVD, that's a lot of Blu-Rays, and the occasional 4K. I'm already over 2 TBs and I'm not even done with DS9 yet. All ...

Re: Questions on Forced Subtitles
This is quite the coincidence, I am also in the process of ripping my Star Trek disks! Your post alerted me to the possibility that I might've gone all they way to the middle of DS9 without any forced subs (not that Trek has that many in general). I quickly checked a scene from A Matter of Honor, th...

Re: Top Load vs Slot Load vs Tray Load
I'll add it into consideration, thank you!
Have any of your drives gotten stuck or broken or anything?

Top Load vs Slot Load vs Tray Load
Hello all,
I have a BDR-XD08UMB-S, and it's been excellent in ripping my Blu-Rays, and I just started today on some DVDs (much more noisy but faster). I missed one teensy tiny detail as to the date the firmware was from when I bought it 😑 but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.
That being said, I am interested in getting another Pioneer, and this time I want to get some firsthand opinions, as I'd like to be in this for the long haul. Do you guys prefer the clamshell top-loaders, popping open a tray, or just inserting the disk, no fuss no muss? I'm leaning towards going internal this time, but I'm wary of mechanical issues down the line.
Thank you!

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
Hello all! I've been lurking here for a bit, checking out the various drives, figuring out just how deep I want to get into this entire process, and decided I might as well make it official and create an account. It's only been about two weeks since I started ripping my Blu-Rays, and it's really awe...
