Re: How to do concurrent operations at same time?
Hi, So basically I was wondering if its possible to run multiple instances (like 2-3) of Makemkv and access more than one drive at a time without interfering with another instance or drive? The problem is if you load another instance of Makemkv it will interfere with to process going on the first d...

Re: DVD Copy Device
Indeed there are standalone disc copy stations like one source ROM drive and eight RW destination drives in one big tower case. But these are, for reasons already mentioned, not meant to copy protected media. However, nothing would stop a "pirate" to make ONE unprotected copy and then use ...

Re: About permanent key
Hi :!: Buying a permanent key will allow me to register (activate) MakeMKV on as many Linux Live sessions I shall use in the future :?: That is , every time I start a session , MakeMKV will be installed ( eventually with newer realeses ) and I shall register with my permanent key . Also I want to p...

Re: Playing UHDs in VLC with WH16NS60
Is it possible to play (not rip) UHD movies in VLC with the WH16NS60? I have MakeMKV open and it detects my drive and will rip properly. I have a System C:\WINDOWS/System32, System (32bit) C:\WINDOWS/SysWOW64 and VLC C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC all checked. I have libaacs.dll in the VLC folder an...

feature request for v1.17.10 (ignore read errors option)
Hi, instead of more "version bumps" without any further changes, how about an option to silently ignore read errors during full disc backup? It has been often discussed that MakeMKV aborts full disk backup even if there is only a tiny error in a file that isn't even important for the disc ...

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
yeah but pioneers can be flashed on windows only email me if you can send that info from windows Respectfully, I'd like to point out that this seems to be incorrect. The drive I successfully flashed on Linux was an ASUS drive manufactured by Pioneer. I even reported on the successful flash attempt ...

Hi, is there any chance for UHD with this OEM USB3 BD-XL drive? When inserting an UHD disc, it only makes funny sounds, then stops. Website speed really sucks. Lot's of timeouts today. Webmaster should consider setting up mirror(s) if main site can't cope with the demand.

Re: Blu-ray Backup unplayable from SSD/HDD in VLC?
Thanks for feedback. I found out that the problem is related to the Blu-ray discs I tested with. Turned out these specific discs cause problems no matter the OS or ripping software used. Unfortunately, they were the first two of a new show I got on Blu-ray, so I had no previous experience with this ...

Re: Blu-ray Backup unplayable from SSD/HDD in VLC?
Thanks for replying. As I mentioned above, it is NOT a VLC for Linux problem, since it plays anything flawlessly, UNLESS it is a Blu-ray dump created by MakeMKV for Linux. VLC DOES play a) any video file (I have thousands!) and b) any Blu-ray dump created before I changed to Linux (dumps made with M...

Update:
Uninstalled Flatpak, compiled MakeMKV for Linux myself. Same version. Unfortunately, same problem persists. So it wasn't the Flatpak version's fault.

Blu-ray Backup unplayable from SSD/HDD in VLC?
Hi folks, I've migrated my main work machine from Windows 10 Enterprise to Linux Mint 21.3. A great experience so far. On Windows, I used MakeMKV and another solution for DVD and Blu-ray backups, so I could later play them from SSD/HDD in VLC or further process them with Handbrake. Now, on Linux, it...
