Re: Full backup, but size is wrong?
I was talking full backup of the disc, not just a movie, as the other post says, it seems to have sorted itself out. I too am on a Mac.

Full backup, but size is wrong?
I am trying to do a full backup on Doctor Strange (first one), Disc says just main movie file is 52.9 GB, my full backup is 16.96 GB and it plays through without anything missing. All I did is a backup, one of my drives failed the first try, so I looked at the disk and there is an obvious mark on it...

UHD/4K disc loads as "DATA" tried on two drives, one is a pioneer.
Anyone have any input, just shows up as Data, nothing, I am trying to make a full backup. The movie is Thor Ragnarok, the disc is pristine. So far I have been able to load it enough that it is trying to create an MKV file, but I would prefer to have the full backup. Like the title says, tried it on ...

Playlist Obfuscation and full backups
I have been diligently making backups, last night I had a title that I had backed up and decided to watch, it jumped from one location to another location a couple times. I had no idea that this was a thing, especially when doing a full backup. Am I going to have to watch every movie and make sure i...

Re: BD full backup, playback jumps from one section to another section instead of playing through.
I have never heard of that, but it makes sense based on the name, it skips around on more than one occasion and then I get a 30 second message from Lionsgate telling me I should stop sailing the seven seas.

BD full backup, playback jumps from one section to another section instead of playing through.
The disc plays fine on my player, it backed up fine (I have not done a rip yet, but will). I tried to use DVDFab as well and that seems to have failed too. Disc is clean and doesn't appear to have any scratches. Any other advice? There is a 4K release coming soon, so I am not too worried, but could ...

Re: Changing drive serial number through firmware?
I guess I am going to have to figure out some solution without changing the serial number. Setup time for multiple instances definitely takes longer, but once you know what drive is what, then it is a bit easier. Thanks again.

Changing drive serial number through firmware?
Is there an easy way to do this? I have made a 7 bay ripping unit and it would be nice to have all the serial numbers a little easier to discern, like Drive A, B, C, etc. I am going to be doing an 18 bay and that is going to get more messy when dealing with all those drives.

The restart was my issue, felt pretty dumb once I did that.

Running second and third instances of MakeMKV
When I run multiple instances of the program, I am a bit concerned with how the software acts when you finish one disc and eject it. Upon installing the next disc, the instance that isn't ripping anything starts to try and read the disc drives that are ripping before it will go to the drive that the...
