Ok, I tried different discs, and they also stopped reading at the exact identical spot as the first set of discs. Right at 17061.1 M, for every disc.
Should be the player then, right?

Re: The Force Awakens - SCSI/Medium/Uncorrectable Errors
Yes, but I'll try again. I just think it's odd that both discs stop at same identical spot every time. At the 17601.1 M spot, both discs. From reading around, it sounds like the driver could be having difficulty moving to another layer, but that difficulty could be because of blemishes on the discs...

Re: Star Wars 6-Disc Boxed Blu Ray Set
Thanks dcoke22.
And thanks Mr. Red for the tip on deactivating "hard burn" subtitles. I'll try that.
But no, you can't import mkv files into video editing software, at least not into Final cut pro.
I'll look into remixing as you suggested if I have to.

Re: The Force Awakens - SCSI/Medium/Uncorrectable Errors
My Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope discs both stop at the same spot every time too. I've tried about 6 or 7 times. Same spot at about 40% of the way through.
So I'd need a different driver?

Re: Star Wars 6-Disc Boxed Blu Ray Set
Thanks! I'm not so much interested in watching them on my computer, I just want to convert the movies into mp4 files (with HandBrake), so I can import them into a video editing program. When makemkv reads my blurays, it gives me a window with several boxes, and usually only two are selected by defau...

Re: Star Wars 6-Disc Boxed Blu Ray Set
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how to know which is the subtitle track. As far as I can tell, after it loads/reads the discs, it gives me the option to rip the menu and the movie. There are usually many unchecked boxes on the list. I just hit "make mkv". It's been the same every time, ...

Re: Star Wars 6-Disc Boxed Blu Ray Set
Also, I noticed with Episode III, it's the movie, but every time someone speaks in the commentary, their name appears on the screen. It's NOT the commentary track, it's the movie track, but the names still appear on screen anyway, without any of the commentary dialogue. I just want the movie, with n...

Re: Star Wars 6-Disc Boxed Blu Ray Set
I'm currently ripping these, I've done I-III so far, and I've noticed it does not rip the opening text crawl, pan, and next few seconds.
For example in Episode I, it starts at Qui-Gon talking to the pilot.
Any idea on why this is happening? Thanks!

Hello, total noob here. This is what I've got. The first bluray I ripped mostly worked fine. The 2nd one I tried failed, and now the discs won't load. Any advice? Thank you. Ok, I read the solution in another thread. For those encountering the same thing, click on the big DVD Player icon to make the .mkv file.

Step by step instructions
Hello, noob here. I can't seem to find any instructions on how to use MakeMkv for Mac. I have an iMac with Sonoma 14.2.1 I've tried to convert dvds to .mkv, but all I can get it to do is make .iso. Am I supposed to click on "save selected titles"? It won't allow me to, it's grey. I clicked...
