Rip Dolby ATMOS Track without the Video?
Hi, I've ripped several 3D BDs to MKV, but many 3D titles don't include the ATMOS track. They usually ship with a 2D BD or UHD BD that does contain a Dolby ATMOS track. So, I'm ripping the video and Dolby ATMOS track from the 2D or UHD BD and remuxing it with the 3D MKV using mkvtoolnix. However, it...

Re: LG WH16NS40 16X Blu-ray Drive Read Speeds
As the disk area being read gets towards the outer part of the disk, the speed will increase. "16x" only refers to the MAXIMUM speed you will see, not TYPICAL. There is a maximum RPM the drive will go; there is more data available to read, per rotation, as you move further away from the c...

LG WH16NS40 16X Blu-ray Drive Read Speeds
What's up?!
I'm using an LG WH16NS40 16X Blu-ray in an external case via USB 3.0. When using MKV for ripping BDs, (not UHD BDs or DVDs), MakeMKV shows that it's reading at around 6.6x at the most.
Any reason why this would be? Should I really expect to be getting near 16x speeds like it claims?

Re: James Bond - Casino Royale, Spectre, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall
Thanks. Do you know where you got that copy? I know there are usually multiple keys as there are different discs out there. Got mine from amazon, Feb 2020 version. Probably Best Buy, as part of the Daniel Craig 4 movie box set. Looks like I bought it in the fall of 2019, when it first came out. Sor...
