Think of it as an investment for the future. The day you get a 4K HDR display, you’ll already have a library of 4K movies.

Just wanted to say that I also had a similar problem. On macOS Sonoma, exporting a movie (4K but also 1080p) directly to an external disk generates partially corrupted files (random dropped frames, glitches and out of sync audio during playback).
