Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
I did and successfully flashed to 1.03. Unfortunately it still won't read my discs, it just ejects them even although it's patched. I tried doing the next flash but it failed. Drive Information Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST Product: BD-RE BP50NB40 Revision: 1.03 Serial number: SIM2221124041 Firmware date:...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
Picked up another LG drive (BP50NB40) as my existing LG drive (BP60NB10) was throwing up errors on every disc I tried. It worked perfectly for months before. Tried flashing the BP50NB40 but so far no luck. I tried downgrading too. Any ideas on what I'm missing. ./makemkvcon f -d '/IOBDServices/0AC8...

Re: X-Files Blu-ray Error
Disc was brand new and cleaned with microfiber and isopropyl. The drive is supplied via two Thunderbolt 4 ports on a MacBook Pro, I don't think this is a power issue, I think it's an issue with the disc. I'll do 4 discs in a row, then the 5th disc will throw up the same error over and over again, th...

Re: X-Files Blu-ray Error
I've continued working my way through my box set and I'm on season 4. Season 2 was the only season that didn't have any discs that failed. So far the following discs have failed to rip (Season - Disc): S1D1 S1D2 S1D4 S3D3 S4D1 The last disc S4D1 gave the following errors. Does anyone have any idea w...

Re: X-Files Blu-ray Error
You did not mention whether or not you've cleaned the disks; X-Files disks would be more than a few months old, and quite a lot of "older" "new" disks have contamination from the packaging. It doesn't take much to make them unreadable, while looking "perfect". Any disk...

X-Files Blu-ray Error
I just received a brand new sealed box of X-Files Complete 1-11 on blu-ray. Discs are in perfect condition with no scratches or damage. I went to rip season 1, disc 1 which contains the first four episodes. Two of the episodes have failed so far (Scsi/Posix error) whilst episode 4 ripped fine. I don...

How to Limit Drive speed to 3x or 4x?
I'm able to use 0=8 to limit the drive speed to 2.0x as I have some discs that are making a grinding noise and failing if I go faster.
What number should I use for 3.0x and 4.0x?
I followed the guide here: viewtopic.php?t=22689

Re: Occasional Skipping
I thought it might be Plex too so I downloaded the MKV to my M1 Pro Mac and played it back with IINA and it was skipping at the exact same point which leads me to believe theres an issue with the rip.

Re: Occasional Skipping
That's what I've done but the rip has occasional 1 second stutters. How do I prevent this from happening when I rip the discs? I'm using an BP60NB10 drive, 4K blurays look to be in perfect condition.

Occasional Skipping
I've ripped a number of 4K blurays now using my LG external drive on Mac. Image and sound quality is superb and I'm playing it back via a Synology DS224+ with 18GB RAM and playing back on a 2nd gen Apple TV 4K on a LG C2 OLED. I notice very occasional skips with the video (audio is unaffected) for j...

Re: BP60NB10 Still Not Working
Huzzah, that worked! Thanks Billy, much appreciated. Perhaps it would be useful to add that specific 'rawflash enc' under the linux/macOS instructions for future users.
