I did decrypt the whole disc, there is only one subtitle file .sup which is 198 kb in size.
It contains only the few forced subtitles.
So i will give it up, thanks for your help, anyways

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
I tried it... the resulting .sup file is 93,1 kB in size.
And when i load that into "Subtitle Edit" there are only those 4 lines from the forced subtitles.

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
When playing the disc in my BD Player there are no subtitles as default. When i select the german subtitles the whole movie is complete with thousand lines of subtitles. But when i rip the disc in the mkv file are only the forced subtitles (4 lines saying what a sign in the movie means). So the subt...

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
Still dont understand why it is not working...
Makemkv shows two subtitles, german and german forced.
I select both in makemkv and after the rip only the forced subtitles are in the movie.
What could cause this ?

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
Thanks, i tried the Subtitle Edit Software and found out that the subtitles are only the forced ones with 4 lines in the whole movie.
I ripped all subtitle tracks, there are only two, but the subtitles are not in the mkv file.
Very strange...

I interpret you mean on by default? If so see link in my sig Set A Subtitle Stream On By Default (Forced) . No, usually i remove the default flags... in this case i switch on the subtitles in the menu but they are not shown. Which tool would i need to look into the subtitles to determine if there i...

As i live in germany i usually rip the video including german and english audio plus english and german subtitles if available. I managed to do that with all discs but two of the Blue Ray discs. Re: Question About Pioneer external Blue Ray Drives
I'd keep the XD07TUHD as with your current firmware can rip all disc types. Just don't ever update the firmware!! PowerDVD is not needed for any drive to function or be recognized and unless you want direct disc playback (not recommended), shouldn't be installed. If your laptop didn't recognize it,...

Re: Question About Pioneer external Blue Ray Drives
All of them should be recognized in Windows without any other software installed. You do know that none of them will allow you to rip UHD discs unless they have older firmware (prior to Dec 2022). Yes, i know that... but i dont really need to rip UHD disks, although i managed to do so with one UHD ...

Question About Pioneer external Blue Ray Drives
Hello all, I just started to "save" my DVD and Blue Ray discs to my hard drive. As i am having no more optical drive in my PC i just ordered and tested two pioneer drives. The BDR-XD07TB which does not read UHD discs and the BDR-XD07TUHD which does. What i noticed is that the UHD version r...
