Re: Unable to see forced English subtitles - Argo
I'm pretty sure "Argo" is a lot like "The Avengers" in that the subtitile track necessary for the non-english parts is actually a separate "non-forced" track. When making the mkv, select all of the english subtitles and then navigate through them to determine which one ...

Re: Specific Blu-ray Title issue
Update While not a fix for the actual problem, MkvMerge was my friend, and allowed me to remove the the added chapters without having to transcode it through Handbrake. When using Makemkv to convert this disc and title, it will state that there is 6 chapters, but when complete there is 7 with the p...

Re: Problems and more problems
Makemkv does not alter the stream in any way so it has to be something with your playback. After reading your reply, I will now eat crow and apologize to anyone I may have offended who was trying to help. I was using VLC Player v2.0.3 to play the finished MKV file when this "shifting" of ...

Re: Problems and more problems
BlackDragon24 - Latest Blu-Rays with issues are with Season 1 of "Game of Thrones". In sections of the movie, during playback (after MKV rip), the top 1/3 of the video is not aligned with the lower 2/3 section of the video. For instance - the heads of people in the upper 1/3 of the screen...

Re: Problems and more problems
Chetwood - If you would like I will upload a portion of the blu-ray ripped with MakeMKV 1.7.7 to YouTube and you can view the problem for yourself. Let me know I would be glad to make it available to you. Which blurays are exhibiting this behavior? A lot of newer blurays have a new type of protecti...

Re: Problems and more problems
On DVD's it works great but Blu-rays have choppy separated pictures in areas of the movie (multiple different BD's). That's total BS. Pretty much. It was such a PITA to sign up for this forum....that's why he spent ALL that time fighting thru the captchas so he could come here and spend even more t...

Re: 3D : Variable Frame Rate in the MKV 3D MVC ?
Hi I used MakeMKV to generate a MKV MVC 3D from the Bluray 3D... It's only remuxing, so the video frame should be the same as the original one in MediaInfo... But there is a problem : In the MKV, Variable Frame Rate is seen by Mediainfo, and not in the main M2TS of the original ISO... I think there...

Re: Talladega Nights Blu-ray
Whole series of "The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00017.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset xxxx" messages. Also, the program hangs for a while - with debug on it just hangs forever (well, OK, I didn't let it run that long). Without debug it exits with a "Failed to save title 0 to fil...

Re: Supernatural: Season 2 - Not separate episodes?
I have been working my way through my Supernatural seasons, and for no particular reason, Season 2 was the last season I had left to do. Every other season I own, the episodes are on the disc to be ripped separately. It seems this season was authored with the episodes all lumped together and withou...

Re: Pioneer BDR-206DBK Optical Drive - Anyone else use it?
Followup to my December 2011 comment. About a month ago I began having problems with the Pioneer drive. It was still under warranty, so I sent it to the original vendor for testing/replacement. This process was going to take a while, so in the mean time I bought an LG 14X Blu-ray burner (model WH14...

I have successfully backed up Chronicle so it is probably a dirty/scratched disc. Post the log here and we can tell you for sure.sovanbu wrote:I tried ripping Chronicle with the latest version and received an error on both the cinema and director cut versions.

Well after googling around a bit it seems like lots of people are having this problem.
Has anyone watched the episode on a blu-ray player all the way through to the end?

Re: Choppy MKV VC1 Playback
When I playback all my VC1 encoded Blurays in MKV format, they appear choppy, stutter and blocky, but ones that are H264 play without these issues. If I look at the processor activity, the CPU is max'ed out for the VC1's, but around 20% for H264, so I guess that the GPU is doing the processing. Thi...

Re: Star Wars Blu-Ray Chapter markers messed up
When ripping the Star Wars Box Set Blu-rays, the chapter markers do not correspond with scene starts/ends (like they do when using Handbrake to rip the DVD versions). I don't see this problem, and I have all 6 of them ripped. Each movie has 50 chapters, which is quite a lot. Maybe post a mediainfo ...

Re: not exactly an error
Every single Blu-ray that I rip with makemkv has the HD 5.1 audio unchecked by default. I have to make sure to check that option, otherwise all I will get is 2 channel stereo. Is there a way to have 5.1 automatically selected? The HD is unchecked by default because most standalone players cannot de...
