Post your blu-ray drive and speeds with makekv
Hey all Wasn't sure if we had one of these and if we do please forgive me. I'd like to compile a list of Blu-ray drives and the speeds that are generally seen when using makemkv, so that we might all be able to make the best choices when it comes to purchasing our hardware. I'll start: Drive: Pionee...

Re: 1.6.10 playback / seek issues
Glad to hear it. FWIW, rolling back to 1.6.8 solved the issue completely. No amount of re-installing anything fixed it this time.crowfax wrote:I have spoken to Mike about this via PM's and am currently waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed it'll get sorted soon!

Re: 1.6.10 playback / seek issues
Well this issue cropped back up yesterday while ripping down the 14th season of South Park on blu-ray. Doesn't matter what audio track I rip down....Dolby TrueHD, core audio, separate commentary tracks, multiple tracks....all exhibit the same symptoms as before, which means that they completely free...

Re: 1.6.10 playback / seek issues
Guys, we can't reproduce any of these problems. Please be very specific about MakeMKV / MKV configuration. Specifically: 1. What happens if you create a video-only MKV file with no audio or subs. Will it seek or crash? Even if remuxed with mmg? 2. Please confirm that you see the issue only with tru...

Re: 1.6.10 playback / seek issues
I have reported the exact same symptoms here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3627 Glad to see I'm not the only one, that's for sure. Mike is aware of it and is working on a solution. I have reverted back to 1.6.8 for the time being as well. All rips with 1.6.9 seemed to be ok ...

Re: 1.6.9 broke navigation in mplayer
For me it is broken with a standard lossy DTS track as well... You mean broken exactly the same way - sound is gone after seeking? For me, seeking caused windows media player to crash....just freezes up. No response from program. Whether or not I seek forward using the mouse and the seek bar or adv...

Re: 1.6.9 broke navigation in mplayer
1.6.10 still has the search issue in mplayer if the movie has TrueHD track. Any search attempt breaks the sound. For me it is broken with a standard lossy DTS track as well.....though I only tested in WMP on windows 7 x64 ultimate. Re-muxing with mkvmerge did not work. Had to completely re-rip it d...

Re: 1.6.9 broke navigation in mplayer
Fixed in 1.6.10 Okey doke now it appears I am having a problem with playback in MKVs generated by 1.6.10. In 1.6.9 I was having problems getting mediainfo to recognize all of the metadata, but that was simply solved by reverting to 1.6.8 or by remuxing using mkvmerge. With 1.6.10, all mediainfo is ...

Re: 1.6.9 broke metadata?
Update to 1.6.9 today and I just ripped down Despicable Me. The resulting MKV file seemed to play back ok in WMP on windows 7, but mediainfo only reported the audio stream present. I remuxed into a new mkv using mkvmerge and now it sees all the video, audio, and chapters. So there is something that ...

Re: MakeMKV 1.6.8 not accepting key
+1 to what SamuriHL said. Also, I didn't "fork over $50" because I'm impatient. I did it because Mike has made an excellent piece of software. I believe this is an excellent piece of software as well, and intend on purchasing it. I don't think the problem is paying the price. I think peop...

Time for new BETA key?
My program officially stopped letting me decrypt blu-rays tonight because the beta key has expired. Was wondering if a new beta key was being offered up or if we are exiting beta status.

Re: Subtitles
So I know you said it was VLC, but I just ran an experiment and it makes me believe even more so that there is some setting on MakeMKV, that I'm missing. When I put in the Dr. No DVD, there are no subtitles. So I was just thinking that if it was a VLC setting, it would affect all media. So any help...

Re: Read Rate or Rip Speed
Please try latest version, 1.6.4. and see if it makes any difference. My apologies for reviving an old thread. I just purchased the BDR-206 and am experiencing similar problems to those above, but not exactly. I do not have AnyDVD installed but use makemkv for all of my ripping and decrypting. Curr...
