Hey,
After a Little bit time I wanna say, that the old pioneer drive works like a charm.
Thank you very much. No issues at all, compared to the lg.
For 4K it only works with 4x but no errors at all.
I’ll use my new 43888 only for ripping my old DVDs.

Re: Verbatim 43890 External Slimline Mobile USB 3.2 Blu-ray Writer UHD Problem
The old Verbatim 43888 with the UD04 died in a second no one knows why. So it it did and not does. I was very lucky to buy this drive for only 49.99eur brandnew. I hate my other 43899 I bought a month ago because it often hangs nearly at the layerbreak. Flashed LG in it…. In my opinion no equal to p...

Re: Verbatim 43890 External Slimline Mobile USB 3.2 Blu-ray Writer UHD Problem
Works very good thank you very much.
The 43890 comes with an external power supply or you can use the cable with both usb plugs to attach to the computer.
I’ll now try a 86GB disc.
I’m convinced that it will work. My broken UD04 always does.
Greetings Micky.

Re: Verbatim 43888 Linux Issue
Hi Marty thx,
it doesn’t matter using 1.00 or 1.03 with both fw there ist the same issue.
It seems that there are connection problems because the drive seems to hung up in Linux.
But if there aren’t any suggestions to solve this I’ll use the pc anyway,

Verbatim 43888 Linux Issue
Hi all 🤓,
after my old Verbatim 43888 with the Pioneer drive died within an second I bought the same drive again.
BU40N…. No problem flashed with 1.00 and later 1.03 and works under windows without any problems.
But… on a Ugreen Nas DXP2800 there may be reading errors imo nearly the layer break.
Not on every disc but you can’t say….
It maybe a power issue so I think to buy an active USB hub, because it’s comfortable to do automatic rips directly to the Nas.
What do you think….?
Or buying a new pioneer 5.1/4 and using ist with an external enclosure with usb?
I have to say I’m using a sff pc so I can’t integrate big drives.
But there is the possibility to use internal connectors and lay the drive on the top of the PC.
