Reads nothing but DVDs sounds like I need a new drive.
Do you know of any testing software to verify if lasers are working or not?

This drive HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH16NS60 will not read bluray or UHD drives, reads DVDs fine. I have re-flashed the firmware, tried versions 1.02 and 1.03, no luck. I have another drive just like this, with firmware 1.03, and it reads all the disks including UHD just fine. It says there is no disc inserte...
