Hi Asmcom, I really wanted to thank you for replying and for the info and link. I will probably just keep using the supplied adaptor as it is so far very reliable, and I have noticed that's a very fast in ripping discs, well one disc so far. I just need to get more confident using MakeMKV tbh.asmcom wrote: ↑Fri Aug 01, 2025 4:02 pmHi CJT80,
Thank you so much for the kind feedback. We’re delighted to hear you're happy with your new Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD setup!
Regarding the power adapter we supplied, we completely understand your concern. The unit we supply uses what we’ve found to be the most reliable and safest power supply available, which we have extensively tested. Unfortunately, the barrel jack cable length is limited to approximately 90cm. We're sorry it’s not quite long enough for your setup.
That said, if you’re looking for a longer cable, we’ve found a suitable 1.5-metre power supply on eBay that’s compatible with the drive and uses the same 12V/2A DC barrel connector. Please note, however, that it is quite expensive at $53.76 plus postage:

Thanks again for your support and feedback, it’s always appreciated!
