Re: If you're experiencing rip errors, please read here first!
The error is saying it couldn't save the file, and the lack of any intervening messages from the read often means that something blocked the write. You've tested the write to that path, correct? I have. Moreover, MakeMKV is able to create the directory just fine. I have plenty of space on the file ...

Re: If you're experiencing rip errors, please read here first!
So, this is strange. I am trying to rip a bd I purchased at the store. When I run makeMKV on it, it fails, but there are no error message and no hints as to why it failed. Screenshot 2024-09-26 at 11.15.39.png I've enabled debug logging and seeing if that provides any additional clues. More to come....

I just tried the latest posted beta key and it's still expired. Anyone else having problems with that?

Re: Where is my ripped movies?
When you say "ripped", what exactly do you mean? Did you make an MKV? Did you make a backup? What do you mean? What was the command you used or how did you use makemkv GUI? If you make an mkv, then you should have a title on your machine named after the title with the extension, ".mkv...

Re: UHD (Official) Friendly Drive - Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD (Powered by LG BU40N)
I am very grateful for this forum, but trying to quickly find the correct information one needs in an effort to answer one's question is VERY difficult and cumbersome. I purchased this drive from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Overall, I've been very pleased with it. Note that the one I purchased *is...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
OK, I think using encryption messed things up. I reflashed it without encryption and everything is working nicely!! ✦ at 14:16:39 ❯ makemkvcon f --all-yes -d /dev/sr1 rawflash -f ../../../../sdf.bin -i HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM00500-212005061142.bin Reading input file HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
OK so I just want to make sure I'm about to do the right thing after reading through the documentation. I literally just purchased this drive today. It's "...unable to decrypt unit (AACS)!" despite the fact that everything is properly set up to decrypt discs. This is my second bluray drive...

How to: makemkvcon to ONLY discover BD movie tiltle?
Is there a way to determine the bluray title using makemkvcon (in Linux) without scanning the entire disc? For instance, `lsdvd` (technically a type of disc scan but not exhaustive) can return the title of the disc. I haven't figured out how to do this using of `makemkvcon -r info dev:/dev/sr0`. How...
