Re: Problems with LOTR:FotR Disc 2
I don't use google photos often. I created a new link that says anyone with the link should be able to view the photo. It still won't show in the post. Can I just leave the link? I tested this link in another browser that I am not logged in to google with and the image shows up. https://photos.app.g...

Re: First Rip Problem - Zidoo Z9X Pro
I got this working. The Zidoo will in fact read full backup BDMV and iso files.

Problems with LOTR:FotR Disc 2
I've tried both my copy and a friends copy and they are getting the same error. I've cleaned the disk well with 91% alcohol but still getting the hash error seen in the image. Had it on a few other discs but figured I'd use this as the example.

Re: Unencrypted Backup from Encrypted Backup
It's not quite that easy or straightforward. The following thread has a lot more details: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=16920 But before trying any of that, start by trying to clean the disc with a microfiber cloth and 91% isopropyl alcohol. This has fixed read errors for...

Re: Unencrypted Backup from Encrypted Backup
Yes, you can create an encrypted backup using MakeMKV, but why would you? If you have the disc in the drive, you would simply ignore everything above and make a decrypted backup instead! The above procedure is only necessary if you have previously made an encrypted backup and want to decrypt it. I ...

Re: Unencrypted Backup from Encrypted Backup
I had a similar need and can confirm that the process works. Just make an ISO image from the encrypted backup folder using ImgBurn, then mount the ISO created by ImgBurn in Windows by double clicking on it. When you mount the ISO, Windows will create a virtual optical drive and assign a drive lette...

Re: Constant read errors Mockingjay Pt 1 (4 disk collection)
I'm working on this collection now and Catching Fire 4K didn't had 1 file error. Should I try to get Walmart to replace it? Obviously I'll finish the other two just to be sure before going that route. Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=E064BA3E3F81) Backing up disc into folder "D:/Videos/Movies/ba...

First Rip Problem - Zidoo Z9X Pro
I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question. I purchased a pre-patched BW-16D1HT. Installed MakeMKV, put in 4K copy of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and hit backup. It completed the BDMV folder on my hard drive in about 45 minutes. I movied the folder to an external USB 3.0 14T...

Re: Does HDDVD still work?
New to this. I have several HDDVD's that I haven't replaced on Blu-Ray. I presume I need an HD-DVD drive to back them up using makemkv.
