No luck, HK's didn't seem to do the trick. It's either a disc or drive issue at this point. I am going to return the movie and get another one and I'm looking to get a pioneer drive as well to see if that will fix it.

Got a VPN up and running and that did allow me to download HK's. Fingers crossed The Thing successfully rips.

I have a feeling it might be the HK issue. I added the necessary info to the host file in system32 but it still fails. I probably need a vpn but have never used one for this. Do I need to put info into the proxy server field in prefs? Sorry, I am still a bit new to this.

I'm having issues with The Thing 4k UHD. It will burn about 30% and then get stuck. Do I need to reinstall MakeMKV for an update if this was fixed in a patch?

I think it may just be a faulty disc. I couldn't burn it from MakeMKV, DVDFab, play it from VLC or my PS5. I am going to return it and get another.
