There's not, i think makemkv is supposed to be as easy as peas, click and play sort of speak. MKVToolNix is good, just a little bit bigger than makemkv, you ...

last weekend i bought a tv show and tried to rip it.

when makemkv opened the disc, it only showed a file of 25 minutes. the box said 5 episodes per disc and some research online said they were almost an hour long.

so i opened it with expert mode (something i just learned to do) and found 2 large ...

i tried the code again, but with your suggestion, and got this:

i had to get a new disc drive because the old ones were starting to fail.

i use the lg b50nb40s.

so when i get a new drive, i flashed it using the code from my older post from several years ago

/lg is a file i put in the tmp file on my computer and it has my firmware pack and sdf bin.

Yes, you are supposed to replace dev_21:1 in the example with the identifier of your specific drive.

And you should match the firmware used in the command to whatever is required for your drive.


I tried it again and it said input file not found. Like input file not found - - /tmp/lg/firmware ...

Here is how I flashed my drive a while ago (I had moved the sdf.bin and the firmware file to /tmp/asus):

First get drive identifier (first section after 00:, e.g. dev_21:1):

/usr/bin/makemkvcon f -l

Then flash drive:

/usr/bin/makemkvcon f -d 'dev_21:1' -f /tmp/asus/sdf.bin rawflash enc -i /tmp ...
