Re: Flashing disc drives.
Yes, you are supposed to replace dev_21:1 in the example with the identifier of your specific drive. And you should match the firmware used in the command to whatever is required for your drive. I tried it again and it said input file not found. Like input file not found - - /tmp/lg/firmware pack n...

Re: Flashing disc drives.
Here is how I flashed my drive a while ago (I had moved the sdf.bin and the firmware file to /tmp/asus): First get drive identifier (first section after 00:, e.g. dev_21:1): /usr/bin/makemkvcon f -l Then flash drive: /usr/bin/makemkvcon f -d 'dev_21:1' -f /tmp/asus/sdf.bin rawflash enc -i /tmp/asus...

Re: region code error
I found the info. It is an mt1959 drive platform with 1.03 firm ware version. The info window says it possible under libredrive information. But the firmware support says no. From reading other forums, I might need to dumb down the drive to an older firmware. I'm curious, how do I do it? The Ultima...

Re: region code error
Sorry if my replies are a mess. This is my first forum post.
I just checked all my drives and the blue ray is the only one that says anything. It says possible with patched firmware.
Out of curiosity, all the drives and dvds were purchased in the us. Does that have anything to do with it.
