Re: When will the beta key be updated?

The original beta key expired today, and I'm wondering when the latest key will be released. I noticed that someone previously posted about this issue, and it took nearly two weeks for a new key to be released back then. I’m hoping it can be released as soon as possible this time. Patience, Grassho...

If you can create a new, complete disc dump file feel free to post it to this thread.
To be fair, it looks like this disk was already added to KEYDB back in January :).

I would guess they are still working on getting the site up again, question is how much hardware they have left ?
But on the bright side, at least this means Asmcom is now safely out of hospital :).

Cannot open disc? Please see attached dump.
No attachment here. Try uploading it into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive, and then replying with a public download link. And emailing it to svq@makemkv.com.

Re: Failed to open disc

Also, may I ask what issues are indicated in the file I have already uploaded? (I just want to know if this problem can be resolved; if it's too early to draw a conclusion, please forgive me.) You will notice that both AACS/MKB_RO.inf files in your Google Drive folders are only 56 bytes long, which...

Re: MakeMKV and VLC just won't do BluRay at all.

I use OpenSuse Tumbleweed, and it just won't do any BluRay playback or ripping whatsoever. However, drive is seen as a Blu Ray drive, sees all the content of a Blu Ray film disc and all the folder structure and so on... Drive is a Hitachi LG BU40N 9.5mm drive installed Into a Dell Lattitude E5540. ...

Are referring to this?
I'm assuming this is the MKB_RO.inf file for "Weathering With You". And can you also provide the MKB_RO.inf file for your "君の名は" / "Your Name" disk please?

Re: Can't decrypt AACS from EU/DE Bluray

I'm just happy right now that it somehow worked with a different movie :D If either MakeMKV's "hashed keys" database or the public KEYDB.cfg file already contains keys for a disk then you don't need the missing metadata from its "lead-in" section. The problem happens when neithe...

Re: Can't decrypt AACS from EU/DE Bluray

Well... that's not possible, because the only BD-Drive i have are inside PS3 and PS4. So the copied data from PS3 is incomplete or invalid? And that's the problem: A BD contains important metadata in its "lead-in" section which can only be read by an actual BluRay drive, and which is not ...

Re: Can't decrypt AACS from EU/DE Bluray

This is the actual save that MakeMKV game me. The real save is called "_private_data.tar" inside that are many .bin files and also "MKB_v17_save.tgz". Am i supposed to upload the complete thing? The _private_data.tar file contains the "hashed keys" database and the Lib...

So not giving out the correct VID is a "feature"?
Yes, I think so. MakeMKV's "hashed keys" database is private, and libmmbd only exists to integrate with libbluray-using applications like VLC etc. You'll probably find its aacs_get_mk() function is equally unhelpful...

Re: libmmbd / libaacs VID discrepancy.

..., hence why I'm certain libmmbd's implementation is incorrect. I think you'll find libmmbd is behaving exactly as designed. The problem is just that you are expecting its aacs_get_vid() function to return the disk's VID, whereas I think libmmbd has actually been implemented specifically to allow...

I also heard i should send an e-mail to svq@makemkv.com? So the Subject name should be "MKB_v17_save" then?
I don't think that's the TGZ dump file for your disk.

I tried copying these two discs, but it keeps saying “The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted Failed to open disc”. I've already downloaded the public keystore and put it in the makemkv folder, but it didn't work. (This is my first time using this software,So please point...
