I am curious about using or configuring FindVUK in linux. I wasn't sure what kind of versions of dvdfab or whatever other tools would be needed, if there were linux version of that, or if I needed to install those in wine as well. You need FindVUK to keep your KEYDB.cfg file up-to-date without cons...

I put the dumps of all three discs in my initial post. And yes the working one is Deadpool 3. Thanks, but those dumps were created without LibreDrive being enabled, and so they do not contain some important metadata :(. Has MakeMKV created new TGZ dumps for "Deadpool" and "Deadpool 2...

On Linux, you must ensure that the file is literally named KEYDB.cfg, and not keydb.cfg, because Linux filesystems are case-sensitive.

snap.. yes, I just downloaded the latest, and I believe they are in there. I thought if you had 'enable internet access' enabled that it would query whatever latest db held that info, is that not the case? MakeMKV will only download its own "hashed keys" database automatically. The KEYDB....

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

Could you also upload this TGZ dump file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with a public download link? This would allow people to try adding them into the public KEYDB.cfg file.

I do have one but I believe it broke a few months ago, also scratching one of my disc real bad. Actually it started having difficulty reading discs more than 2 years ago, maybe I'll get an ASUS someday as a backup drive :) The LG drive would only need to read the disk enough to show it in Windows E...

Hmm, it look's like there's a Unit Key now (somehow??), but MakeMKV would need KEYDB.cfg to contain a VUK before it can decrypt the disk .

I don't want to seem too welcoming of Pioneer disc dumps as that might start a new flood of useless disc dumps from BDR-UD04 disc drives... We cannot learn the VUK from BDR-UD04 / BDR-S11 dumps, but we do at least learn something - hopefully at least enough to discover the disk's Unit Key eventuall...
