Re: Largo Winch
Uploaded MKB20_v77_LARGO_WINCH_A5E8.tgz to Google Drive for adding in DB. Have you also emailed this dump file to svq@makemkv.com ? Uploading your TGZ dump file into Google Drive helps "The Powers That KEYDB", which I'm sure is greatly appreciated :). However, "The Powers That MakeMK...

Re: Dump submitted - Winchester '73 UK Criterion
As i have no idea how to use key db so i am waiting for the normal method but after over a week I’m beginning to wonder if it ever will appear, any thoughts. Is your TGZ dump file also named "MKB20_v77_WINCHESTER_'73_C312.tgz"? Because if so, and you're also using Windows, then SamuriHL's ...

Re: Dump Submitted The Wicker Man
Heh, this might explain why the kv.dat file inside your TGZ dump file is so smallukconfederate wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:02 pmSo the problem all along was because the disc wasn't encrypted

Re: Ocean's Eleven issues
Still has a problem at the same exact spot every time. Have you also tried copying the "main title" file manually, e.g. from Windows File Explorer? The copied file will obviously still be bus-encrypted, but you will discover whether even your OS can read the disk. The last time something ...

Re: Pioneer BDR-XS07TS FW1.03 JUST FOR DVD and BLU RAY - NO UHD Requirement
I am in the UK, and Amazon currently has the Pioneer BDR-XS07TS for £116.45, albeit with FW vers. 1.03. I must stress that I have no requirement to Rip UHD. My collection is mainly vintage TV series and older films on DVD and Blu Ray. Any Pioneer BluRay drive that you buy from Amazon will almost ce...

Re: Dump Submitted The Wicker Man
The new dump files are exactly the same as before, with the kv.dat file showing just 1KB. What does BlurayTestAndDecrypt say about your disk? You might need to disable bus encryption first: makemkvcon info dev:E Once you've done this once, bus encryption should then stay disabled until you either e...

Re: Dump Submitted: Joker - Folie à Deux [4K UHD]
Have you succeeded in ripping? Mine is still not working.. Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV? Failing that, could you upload your TGZ dump here as an attachment, o...

Re: Dump Submitted The Wicker Man
Whether I have a faulty disc, I just don't know. I don't see how your disk could be faulty because FindVUK has been able to validate it successfully. Do you have a different UHD drive that you can test the disk with, or maybe access to a standalone UHD player? The only other things I can think of a...

Re: Pioneer BDR-XD08UMB-S -- SLOW
Is there anything to do if cleaning the disc doesn’t work? The Pioneer XD08U is a high-quality drive. However, the usual steps would be: Try a different disk in your XD08U, to check whether MakeMKV can read it. (This should confirm your drive is OK.) Try the disk in a different drive, or maybe even...

Re: Dump Submitted The Wicker Man
The new dump file still only produced a file size of 1KB. That's to be expected. Can you see the size of the kv.dat file inside this new TGZ dump file? I added the above line to the .ini file which allowed more information to be produced which I've quoted below. Unfortunately, the disc still won't ...

You also need to add this setting to your FindVUK.ini file:
Code: Select all
Disable_Bus_Encryption_Cmd = "C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\makemkvcon.exe" info dev:$DRIVE$

Re: Dump Submitted The Wicker Man
Sadly, this hasn't helped, I still get the "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted. Failed to open disc" and then produces the tgz dump file. Odd... Does your new TGZ dump file contain a file called kv.dat? And if so, how big is it? In your original TGZ dump fi...
