I have 3 desktop drives (in external enclosures) and 2 slim drives, all connected by USB 24/7 with no issues. Just my experience.

Re: Edit MKV file
But is there any consequence on the quality of the video or audio vs a new rip? Or is it exactly the same, remaining video or audio are not modified by this type of remux where we just remove one track? Remuxing will just take the video/audio tracks selected(as they are) and place them in a new mkv...

Re: BDInfo feature?
BDinfo will open a backup. I always backup to my pc first then open with Makemkv. I only use it on rare occasion, like when selecting individual tracks in Makemkv, I will also open the bluray in VLC and look at the runtime to determine the correct file. On occasion there will be multiple files with ...

Re: Disc copy
There's a handy utility called mediaInfo that can show you what's in your .mkv files. Being able to see what subtitle tracks and audio tracks are in the file can be useful when trying to figure things out. ... and hovering over an mkv and getting a popup showing this info is the cats meow. It is in...

Re: Correct title for Night at the Museum 3 Secret of the Tomb?
The difference is probably down to the audio languages. In makemkv, click the arrow next to each and look at the audio/subtitles languages.

Re: Specify maximum title length?
Definitely remains a useful and desired feature. I'm ripping Star Trek TNG, which consists of about 40 blu rays. Every episode is repeated in a title that contains multiple episodes, so it's doubling the rip time to grab the multi-episode files that I then have to delete. Maybe I am missing somethi...

Re: Text Commentary - Subtitle Issue - Star Trek II Wrath of Khan Director's Cut
I have the UHD collection which includes the bluray and I was just pulling the extras off the discs yesterday. They are indeed java based. I ripped the disc with all English and Japanese subtitles just to be sure.

Re: How to split to films on a single file?
Rip it as 1 file then you can use MKVToolNix to split it at the chapter. I use MKVToolnix GUI to run them. Very useful set of tools.
