So I have a BIG av desync at around the 3 min mark on the Director's Cut (4k HDR10) version of Hellboy. Its not a disc issue, the disc is flawless. I get LOTS of AV Sync errors when ripping this one.

But, for some reason, VLC plays this back PERFECTLY.

Its USB, but it reads all other discs fine. Even 4k Bluray. Even other Criterion discs. Just not these 8 discs.


power error seen it 1000 times with the BU40N use a high power usb hub
or plug in to 2 separate usb circuits
you can use a wall charger in a pinch but i dont recommend it as power ...

What do you mean by Retry Reading? It fails literally right away. Like in less than 1 second.

so I found an old post that said to send my .tgz to svq@makemkv.com to get a volume key to the HK, but that was many days ago (I think it was 4 days ago, cant remember now) and still nothing. do I just keep waiting? or is there something else I'm supposed to be doing?

its a brand new disc. also I did clean it with a microfiber cloth.

I get about halfway through the file and it does this.
