Re: Contact (1997) Blu ray - multiple titles
What's the current state of using Win Software on MACs? You could try BDInfo on this one. Hi, thanks for this - can't get it working unfortunately, it's not letting me select the BDMV file/folder even from a backup and just generally seems to not want to work. Thank you for the tip though, I'll kee...

Source files are .mpls for both, and yes, both file names are five digits (00000.mlps for most languages and 00001.mlps for English/Japanese). No difference in the segment counts, segment maps, or chapter counts - there's an obvious dummy title showing 34 chapters on a 5.40 min file, for comparison....

Re: Contact (1997) Blu ray - multiple titles
Interesting - that's not totally dissimilar to what I'm seeing (although ironically the second title is just English and Japanese!). Would MakeMKV be pulling the file size from this 'master' group then, rather than calculating it based on the audio files included under each title? My main concern is...

Contact (1997) Blu ray - multiple titles
Hi, apologies if this has been covered - I have tried to find it! Can anybody please confirm what the correct playlist/title file is on the Contact (1997) UK Blu-ray from 2009? I'm getting two titles that look identical in file size, film length etc. except for localised audio files and source file ...

Re: Direct Blu-ray playback with VLC player NOT WORKING Ventura
Thanks @dcoke22 - in that case I'm definitely stumped. Unless I've missed something (which I'm definitely not ruling out), I seem to have done everything that's been suggested and I still just can't get VLC to play blurays, with MakeMKV or otherwise :( If you/anybody has any alternative tips (or has...

Re: Direct Blu-ray playback with VLC player NOT WORKING Ventura
Yup - confirmed the makemkv process has got Removable Drives permissions in Files and Folders. MakeMKV (the main app) is also listed in that section, but greyed out and the drop-down shows it has listings for Full Disk Access - also greyed out here with no option to check it, but checked in the actu...

Re: Direct Blu-ray playback with VLC player NOT WORKING Ventura
The main app has full disk access permission. I'm unable to add the 'makemkv' process which I think is triggering the 'prevented from modifying apps' error, as it's inside the MakeMKV package and I can't open the package in the Finder pop-up to add an app to the list (no 'Show package contents' opti...

Re: Direct Blu-ray playback with VLC player NOT WORKING Ventura
Hello everyone, have arrived here because I've got this issue too and am having absolutely zero success with the methods outlined above on my M1 Ventura (and admittedly command line/tinkering skills that amount to copy-pasting what other people tell me to do): - am also experiencing the Mac 'makemkv...
