Sorry to reopen an ancient thread, but I have this issue with the same Ebay version from a few years back.

Is there any technical reason why MakeMKV can't read a BD-R disc correctly (without error)? It seems these discs can be played and maybe MakeMKV is maybe too specific related to the file ...
