That as exactly it. I had to use a different video player and then I was able to hear the sound. Windows media player I guess doesn't have the codec to properly play .mkv files. Thanks for your help.

The rip went well, with one issue there is no sound. I selected the sound format I wanted, and left everything to default. There weren't any errors in the output status. Hello,
Do you have instructions for flashing Pioneer Electronics BDR-XS07UHD. Right now my libre status shows possible, but not enabled. It looks like at one point this drive worked without flashing that is the reason I bought it. It looks like firmware has been updated. Please help
