Re: Cross-flashed LG BP50NB40 (NB52) – UHD not reading, Blu-rays are fine
Thanks a lot!!! Yeah, I missed the part where I had to type rawflash full. It's working now and ripping a 4K as I'm typing this with the BP60NB10 1.02 firmware!

Re: SDFtool Flasher
How do I flash my BP50NB40 SVC:NB52 on macOS 26? I don't have access to a Windows machine at all so I can't use the GUI tool.

Re: Cross Flashing Firmware on Mac OS
I'm on macOS 26 and don't have access to a Windows machine at all. I need to flash a BP50NB40 so it can read UHD discs. Trying to follow the terminal commands from the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025 thread does nothing.

Re: Cross-flashed LG BP50NB40 (NB52) – UHD not reading, Blu-rays are fine
Having the same issue on my BP50NB40 except I'm on macOS so I can't use the SDFtool flasher. Firmware HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917 was successfully flashed but trying to flash HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin, even though it says "done successfully...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Trying to flash a BP50NB40. Firmware HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917 was successfully flashed but trying to flash HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin , even though it says "done successfully" in the terminal does nothing. It will still show the BP50...

Re: BU40N 1.03 or 1.04 firmware?
Alright, I went with the 1.03 firmware. @asmcom, what's the advantage of getting a Pioneer drive? The guide says that they are significantly slower than the other recommended drives (1h35min vs 1h05min for a BD 100), not to mention that newer ones can't be flashed. I've decided to go with the Archgo...

The guide says flash 1.03 but why not 1.04?

BU40N 1.03 or 1.04 firmware?
So "The all you need firmware pack" contains the 1.03 LibreDrive firmware for the BU40N but the "mk-firmware-pack-20200720" also contains a newer 1.04 firmware. Which one should I be using?

Re: BH10LS30 (LG) modified firmware & region reset
Forget about this old drive. Sure, there's no 4K support but other than that, it's still a perfectly capable drive that works with CDs, DVDs and regular Blu-rays. I've been seeing some people here still running Blu-ray/HD DVD combo drives from LG which are actually direct predecessors of this drive...

BH10LS30 (LG) modified firmware & region reset
I know this drive is labeled in MakeMKV as "possible, might be supported in the future, but not likely soon" so there's no LibreDrive support right now. However, it is one of the last drives that is supported in the old MediaCodeSpeedEdit which allows modifying the original firmware with a...
