Re: Thoughts and Prayers for MakeMKV - Vigil?
Am I the only person that finds incredibly naive the idea of renewing the beta key every X months? We all knew this was bound to happen, so why not make the whole thing free, or at least guarantee it could be when the time comes that the people behind it (not just the admin, also his peers or even ...

What? I was told this drive can't burn BDXL and cannot rip UHDs even if flashed.Coopervid wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 4:51 pmDO NOT UPDATE this firmware. Your drive can be flashed for reading UHDs but not anymore when you update it. As soon as I'm back you will receive a PM.

Help with the BDR-212DBK drive (FW and region-code)
Hello,
I recently got what was announced to be a Pioneer BDR-212DBK drive. I was told this doesn't work for UHD discs, so updating the FW makes no difference.
What I was wondering is this:
1) Based on the MAKEMKV info (that I got after reading it for the 1st time today), is this really the Pioneer ...

Re: Billycar11 Selling Flashed Pioneer UHD Drives USA only, Remote Flashing,Tested & Makemkv Discount Code
I plan to use a new Blu-ray / 4K drive in my USB-C or USB-3 port, since the case cannot have it inside; In the 1st post of this thread it is suggested to buy an enclosure. Will the Vantec NexStar DX2 work with a Pioneer BDR-S13UBK or any other of the announced drives?

Re: ASUS SBW-06D5H-U - which drive to replace it?
What do you mean by upgrading? I wasn't talking about flashing this drive for UHD use and this isn't even possible. And even if it was, I am ditching the thing, it's baffling how manufacturers think these and slot-load models are a good idea.
Anyway, I already confirmed internal drives work as I ...

I am not upgrading anything, I am getting rid of this model...
I was wondering if any internal drive even with the Vantec enclosure looks like this:

ASUS SBW-06D5H-U - which drive to replace it?
I have the external BD drive ASUS SBW-06D5H-U, which I bought knowing it didn't support UHD, for example, or some types of discs.
I always used an old LG drive, for my previous case, which was internal.
However, I had to ditch this because a bad PC case was compromising my hardware. So I had to go ...
