Re: Wonka 4k Dump Submitted
Thank you for that info. I tried that and it worked. I have created a symlink in the .MakeMKV folder pointing to the keydb file it creates and set the synchronize batch file to run daily. I appreciate the assist on this.

Re: Wonka 4k Dump Submitted
I think it would be beneficial if the creator of this thread were to change the name to "Wonka (2024) 4K Dump Submitted"

Re: Wonka 4k Dump Submitted
I do not believe that the decryption key has been decoded for the new film. It generally takes a few days and the disc was just released yesterday. I had the newest 4k release of "The Princess Bride" recently and submitted the dump. It took about a week before I was able to open the disc.

Re: Wonka 4k Dump Submitted
I downloaded the most recent keydb.cfg file and did a text search through it. Wonka (2024) is not in it. The old Willy Wonka releases are there but the new movie is not. I was surprised to hear it was in the DB when the message stating it was posted the day before the disc was released. I was not su...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
When will 1.9.8.6 be released? Github latest version is 1.9.8.5 Cheers idk, I haven't made enough changes yet. - Added PGS/SUP to srt (auto OCR) (line 80 default = NO) - Added an option to compare SDR in an HDR container for workflow 7-2 (line 132 default=NO) - Added an option to force mp4box_2 (li...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So I have one more question as I don't know the CLI well enough to figure out what is wrong here. All I changed in your script was the CRF setting to 22, the output is about 10GB to 12GB for a 2.5 hr movie. These same movies using my settings from Handbrake with a CRF of 22 ends up at about 3.5GB to...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Any idea what could cause this? Other people have had this issue with avs2pipemod but no one seems to have an answer as to why or how to fix it. I'm going to try a few things. I only have an OS drive and network attached storage. This was on my datadhare coming from my TrueNAS. I know it's not recom...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
OK, I always knew changing containers shouldn't change the stream but every utility I've looked at for changing to MP4 always seems to want to re-encode the stream. I'll look into the processes you mentioned. I used MKV until the DolbyVision implementation in Handbrake and it was much easier to mani...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What would you recommend as the best way to Mux it to MP4 without losing quality? I know each time you re-encode a video, you lose a little quality. I suppose leaving the quality at CRF-15 in the script then doing my normal Handbrake process wouldn't lose me any noticeable quality. Or would I be abl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Well, my current process is to rip using MakeMKV, then I encode the file to MP4 using Handbrake with pretty much automatic settings on CRF 22-24 targeting a roughly 3.5GB/hr max size for the movie. Can I just use Reset_9999's script in place of Handbrake for the same functionality until I get an ans...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thank you for that info Reset_9999. I have an RTX 4070 TI so the GPU is definitely not an issue. I have posted the question in the Handbrake forums as to whether it is baking the FEL. I also referenced your scripts to them to see if they can add the functionality in the case that it is not already d...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
It was a happy discovery a few days ago when I updated Handbrake and saw my next rip pop up as DV in Plex. So, I've just started re-ripping all my UHD rips to get everything to DV p8 in my Plex library. Took me a few days to figure outy I needed MP4s for my LG TVs to trigger DV. The one thing I'm tr...

Re: new update problems ?
I am also having all of these issues. I haven't been able to successfully rip a disc since updating to 1.17.4. I even tried the brand new discs I just ripped 2 days ago on 1.17.3 and I can't get through them without getting tons of SCSI and OS errors
