Read through the instructions and was a bit confused at first but utimately very straight forward. LibreDrive is now enabled.

I have an ASUS BW-16D1HT Bluray drive which is LibreDrive capable but not enabled. I would appreciate if someone could identify the the correct method to enable LibreDrive.

I had seen the post you referenced and had tried to scan the disc using all avallable modes - with exactly the same end result.
In the post there is a reference to MakeMKD hanging during the scan - this is not my experience. This is the log entry no matter ...

MakeMKV will not open a DVD disc

MakeMKV is having a problem opening one of my DVDs. I have been successful copying Bluray discs and other DVD's without issue, however, when a one specific DVD is used I get the following log entries:
