Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!
Thanks, Marty! I think I will buy the Pioneer and maybe the LG internal as a back-up. I only have a laptop at the moment, so the "internal" will be used as an "external" anyway. I will of course need an external if I ever manage to upgrade my laptop, too. I would love the slot lo...

Thanks, Marty! I may just get one of the LG 5.25 drives from you instead then. In my mind, I always thought of those as more reliable but seeing as the drive will be ripping a lot of UHDs and BDs, which would you recommend? I am guessing the HP SHOULD have lasted longer?

Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!
I am assuming the cross flasher does not work with the Pioneer BDR-XD07TB? My internal HP UHD drive just died and I need to buy another. Are there any drives still available on the market that will use the cross flasher? After this experience with the HP (lasted 3 months of ripping!), I would like t...

I think my BU50N died :'( What should I buy?
Very pissed off at the moment because my drive has been playing up the past week or so. MakeMKV fails to load the disc, then the drive disappears and I have to restart.. Tonight I ripped the US Creepshow 4K, went fine. Then I decided to finally open and rip the CLIFFHANGER steelbook 4K and it failed...

Re: Looney Tunes Golden Collection R1 DVDs, CSS reading issues
Ahhh, you have the UK set. They are probably free from the awful encryption the US ones have. I did manage to go through and do all 4 discs of Vol.6, just took a while to read them before I could rip. I went back to Disc 1 and re-ripped it s I realised that the extras were missing which is what the ...

Looney Tunes Golden Collection R1 DVDs, CSS reading issues
I received today, Vol.1-6 of the above LT Golden Collection, 1st press, R1. I started on Vol.6 because 1-5 are in a box and 6 is seperate, so it was easier to start there. On the first disc, Make MKV got stuck at the end scanning the CSS sectors. Looking at an old thread, it seems to be an issue wit...

"ChapterEditor" to make seamless branching MKVs
I have tried testing this programme to make a MKV from the 2015 T2 Judgement Day BD, but it is not working properly. I was wondering if any other members use this? I made the "back-up" file with MakeMKV, decrypting it and then used "chapterEditor" to make the MKV. VLC will play t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Sorry for the horribly noob question, but I am trying to work this DV thing out. I will be watching on a shield or my SONY TV, with KODI or VLC. Does MakeMKV allow DV with those programs yet? Or is it still a matter of combining them separately? I only have my 10 year old laptop at the moment, so I ...

Re: Rocky - which title to select?
Why IS the Japanese language in a different title? I found that strange. I personally choose the Jp one so there are less things to un-tick! Although I am fluent in Japanese, so I will leave it in if I am curious or want to watch in Jp such as Sonic. Too bad Sonic 2 has no Jp track
