Re: Windows/VLC integration: Can MakeMKV only integrate one disc at a time?
with 2 drives that what you want anyway to be able to rip 2 discs at once and not have the the program ping each drive and cause it to hang. really it should be enabled by default would not hurt people with 1 drive and would save alot of email of my drive hangs and goes slow when i open another mak...

Re: Windows/VLC integration: Can MakeMKV only integrate one disc at a time?
ok i have tested it and i am not able to reproduce it works fine for me but i do have ask for single drive mode enabled so try enabling it and see if it works. Okay, it works for me now when using single-drive mode. It's a bit counter-intuitive that I need single-drive mode to fully use multiple dr...

Windows/VLC integration: Can MakeMKV only integrate one disc at a time?
I have two BD drives in my system. I notice that if I insert two discs at a time (something that's handy for speeding up ripping multiple discs) only the volume name of the first disc inserted appears in Windows Explorer, and VLC can only play content from that disc. MakeMKV handles both discs at th...

HandBrake can find Aliens Deleted Scenes title that doesn't show up in MakeMKV
I have the US 4K release of Aliens. The "Play All" option of the deleted/extended scenes brings up a sequence which is 7 chapters, 6:39 in length. I looked all through the titles displayed by MakeMKV but couldn't find a match. When I loaded the whole disc as a source into HandBrake, howeve...

Re: TV series on Blu-rays often don't have titles in episode order...
Assuming you're using Windows, there's an app called " Process Monitor " that will tell you which specific file is being accessed WHILE IT'S PLAYING in VLC. Thanks for tip. I'm seeing, for instance, that VLC is reading from G:\BDMV\STREAM\00063.m2ts while a particular episode is playing, ...

...making it difficult to know what's what until after you rip a disc. Sometimes I can tell what's what by the length (duration) of an episode, playing episodes with VLC, seeing how long each is, and matching titles of the same length. This helps identifying extras/bonus material as well. But it's f...

Re: Windows: Can't change the region of any Blu-ray drive
I seem to recall there's a way to change the region in VLC software, probably in the preferences somewhere. Unfortunately, I rarely use VLC so can't point you directly to it. I found a region setting in PowerDVD, based on your comment. I'm not sure yet if I was changing the region for PowerDVD itse...

Windows: Can't change the region of any Blu-ray drive
Forgive me that this isn't a MakeMKV-specific question. I'm just hoping people here might have expertise on this subject. I'm not having any problem ripping Region 2 content using MakeMKV, even though all three drives I've tried (an internal Pioneer, an internal LG, and a USB external drive) are set...

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
I'm in the US. Where could I find someone to sell me a 4K Pioneer drive (preferably an internal drive) with the old FW?Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 3:23 amfor now you must buy through a seller in your region with old FW.
Answering here or in a PM is fine if you prefer. Thanks.
Re: Barbie 4K
A general question about discs that need new decryption keys:
Do you need to update the MakeMKV application itself to handle such discs, once someone figures out the needed decryption, or does MakeMKV "phone home" to get the new key without having to be updated?

Too soon to decode Barbie 4K?
Since the disc was just released today (US release), I guess I should take it that it's just a matter of time waiting for someone to break the code for this disc?
