Slim SATA USB enclosure with external power?
I was thinking about getting the BU40N and was wondering if anyone knew of any enclosures that also had external power. I've looked around and haven't seen anything... Just want to avoid the same issues I've had with the USB LG drives once they start riding 6x.

Re: Question about Decryption and dump files with different drives
Yes, both connected to the same PC. It's really weird. The LG (bp50nb40 with bp60nb10 firmware) will decrypt no problem but every now and then I come across a disc that won't finish without errors. I've tried everything recommended here with limited success. The pioneer will rip those no problem but...

Re: AV Sync Issues for "The Martian Extended Edition" UHD Disc
I believe it’s normal with the extended edition. I just ripped the same discs not long ago and ripped only the extended edition and got the same messages. I have seen others mentioning audio sync issues in the added scenes. I haven’t watched the movie to confirm but I did skip around and didn’t noti...

Question about Decryption and dump files with different drives
I have an LG drive and a Pioneer drive. When ripping my collection I've found that some discs could decrypt in the LG drive but not the Pioneer. I'd submit the dump and sometime between a few minutes and a few hours (amazing) the Pioneer drive would generally start working with those discs. I assume...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
I have the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52 flashed to BP60NB10 1.00 MK but I've had some issues with a handful of discs whereas a Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD handles them just fine. Should I try to flash it to the BP60NB10 1.02 MK and if so can I just flash it using the WRITE option or do I need to do the RECOVER then s...

Re: Creed UHD Errors
Just an update, the Pioneer drive finished it just fine. You're probably right about it being a power issue since that drive, now that it can decode it, handled it at 4x without issue. I'm going to play with the USB ports I have available to see if I can get around it. If I still have issues I'll gr...

Re: Creed UHD Errors
I'm not an expert at which drives can decode which type disks... others deal with that. :) One thing that I've seen, though, is that USB drives tend to want more than USB 2.0 power for full speed. Computers tend to feed "one USB unit of power" to each PAIR of ports, so if you have somethi...

Re: Creed UHD Errors
They're both USB drives. I thought it most of my issues could be speed related since the main difference I've noticed is that the LG drive will attempt 6x speed while the Pioneer won't go above 4x and so far until now any disc that wouldn't work on the LG would work on the Pioneer. I have both USB ...

Creed UHD Errors
I'm pretty new to this but I've had very few issues moving my UHD collection to my PC but this one has stumped me. I have 2 drives. A BP50NB40 flashed to BP60NB10 1.0 and a Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD So far if I've had any errors on the LG drive I could go to the Pioneer drive and get through it. With Cree...
