Re: The Abyss 4K
I've now had THREE copies of this disc with circular scratches that would not rip (the same files either skip or freeze on my standalone player). There have to be some serious and widespread QC issues with this one...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Glad you found a process that is working for you. It's been a while since I have used the x700, so maybe something has changed in tsmuxer but I really don't recall needing to go through this whole process. - I would back up the full disc with MakeMKV - Open ts muxer, select the main playlist file f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
i dont know, it worked the last time I tried a long time ago and I don't have to bother with this anymore with the x800m2. Maybe something changed in tsmuxer? I was using MakeMKV to make an mkv file, which was giving me a DLST (dual-layer, single track) file. Those don't play on the X700. So this w...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
On a Sony X700 does a DV m2ts or ts file play in dolby vision as it should or does the player just take hdr10 and present it as dolby vision? It will present DV correctly, but you must do things exactly right. I have FINALLY figured this out after a ton of trial and error. For MOST DV movies (anyth...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I dont think there's anything you can do about it except using BDMV folder If you have an x700 or x800m2, and you're trying to play back a Profile 7 file (ie a UHD with DV), use tsmuxer to create a BDMV folder output. Place the BDMV folder in the root of a USB drive. This is not working for me. The...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I dont think there's anything you can do about it except using BDMV folder Oh, if that works, then I'm a happy camper. I'm happy to do it this way, I just want to be able to watch a 3-hr movie without stopping it. I just assumed it still would not be seekable even if I put it on the drive that way....

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Last night I watched The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring and I was able to fast forward. I used the latest version of tsMuxer and muxed both parts to individual m2ts files. I merged mine in a single TS file. So if FF works for each individual part, that pretty much confirms the issue i...

Re: Can a 3D movie ripped with mkv playback as frame packed?
You can rip a 3D Blu-ray to something like a HDD or SSD, plug that in via USB, and play back the frame-packed 3D Blu-ray on your standalone player on your 3DTV. This is easy as hell, but PICKY as hell. SO easy in fact that I couldn't believe it was something so simple, but I've tested this now with ...

Re: Can MakeMKV properly rip 3D Blu-rays?
Yes, this can be done. I assume what you're attempting to do is rip a 3D Blu-ray to something like a HDD or SSD, plug that in via USB, and play back the frame-packed 3D Blu-ray on your standalone player on your 3DTV. This is easy as hell, but PICKY as hell. SO easy in fact that I couldn't believe it...

Re: Your temporary key has expired and was removed
Just download new 1.17.3 and its works until May 31 2023 Neither this nor changing my computer's clock works for me. I even tried a full uninstall of the previous version, restart, install of 1.17.3, etc., and I still get the registration error. Guess I'm waiting. Which is fine - beggars can't be c...
