Re: MakeMKV 1.17.3 causes process overflow ccextractor
Thought I would come update this one. I am about 90% certain this issue was actually caused by another program that I was using at the same time. The program in question actually released a new version to address a memory leak. If no one else has this issue, then I would say to ignore this post.

Re: Mystery DVD won't rip but will play in DVD player
Heh, I can see that. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some setting I could try. I have learned so much about using MakeMKV from everyone here.

Re: Mystery DVD won't rip but will play in DVD player
Update - I swapped out the drive for an apple Super Drive and was able to play the DVD on my computer and MakeMKV had no problem reading the disc and is currently ripping.
Previous drive was a Buffalo BD and it has ripped over a 100 DVDs without issue.

Mystery DVD won't rip but will play in DVD player
I have a DVD I purchased before 2015, maybe 2010. MKV tries for a bit, then fails, and says 'no disc'. I tried playing it and the apple DVD Player also says 'no disc' so I assumed it was a bad dvd. However, I can play it in my DVD player. It seems to play fine, with no skipping or freezes. Anyone ha...

Re: Manual Mode still rejects track selection as empty
That is the goofy thing, the episodes don't show separately, even in manual mode. They are all in track 11, which in default mode will only rip episode 6. It is pretty weird. I was able to get the mp4s out of the MKV made by Win X. The weirdness is, that it is around 3.5 gig, but another disk that I...

Re: Manual Mode still rejects track selection as empty
I hope it isn't that, but I did try playing the first episode on the disc manually (just jumped around though, not full play through), but maybe there are issues on ep 1-5.

Manual Mode still rejects track selection as empty
Hello, Working on a multi-disc box set and ran into some issues. MakeMKV would only recognize a title with the last episode on a disc (of 6). Tried different methods (trim, full, walk) with no luck. In manual mode, I can see track 11 has all the episodes (with run time of 2+ hours), but when I selec...

Re: Combining multiple titles to one movie.mkv file
Thanks for the info, it is clear that it is more complicated underneath than I understood. It is weird, the BDs I have must be missing that play all track. I haven't actually checked though, since I do not own a bd player or software. I only ran across the issue with two of the discs, the other 18 d...

Re: Combining multiple titles to one movie.mkv file
Thanks, I'll give MKVToolNix a look! I hear you and I agree, a narrow focus is a good thing. The only reason I bring it up again, is for convenience and greater user control. From what I understand, the MKV contents are a little arbitrary already, based on what MakeMKV "thinks" should be s...

Drive Reviews?
Wasn't sure where to put this post, can repost if directed to right place. I picked up a BD-RE Buffalo Optical Drive BN14 and wanted to share my experience with it. Basics : It is usb-a powered drive with an additional usb cord in the back for "power boost", which is needed when the drive ...

Re: Combining multiple titles to one movie.mkv file
Just wanted to bring up this would be nice feature to have. On the title selection screen (with the checkboxes) just having a 'merge' or 'combine' checkbox would be awesome and it would combine all the titles selected. I am running into an issue with a BD, part of a set, where even with full walk, t...

Re: Multi-Disc Ripping with Mac OS X
I have two drives, an apple superdisk plugged directly into the back of the mac, and an LG plugged into a powered usb hub. I did not have debug on when I had the failures, so I am not sure if extra info was there. Are you happy with the drives? What brand/model are they? I am on Sierra, because I am...

Also, you were spot on, doing a CellFull showed all titles, no problem. Thanks for the help.

Re: Multi-Disc Ripping with Mac OS X
Thanks for the info. I am on an older version, Sierra, so maybe that has something to do with it.
My initial thought, is that there is some shared data that is getting corrupted by the multiple MKV processes.
