Ordering from Play TV would have cost me $192 all combined. I ordered it from Diffingle Store where it was a little bit cheaper. A second one, nice.
How is fast forwarding FEL movies? Does it crash in CoreElec while attempting to go to the next chapter or fast forwarding?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
you don't get the point. FEL support needs both hardware and software. At this time, software does not support FEL on AM8. It does not matter if it is newer or better or cheaper. I got that. I know it's being worked on and I have a sony x700 to keep me satisfied for FEL playback while the software ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The AM8 has the successor chip to the AM6B+ that everybody is boasting about. And like I said in my post, since the AM6B+ is sold almost everywhere in my country and beyond (Europe) the AM8 is actually cheaper with a more direct availability. So I don't necassarily want it because it's 'better' but...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don't know about Kodi but it plays fines in PLEX on my end(except for the slight BL_EL OOS) We just received the Nokia 8010 which has the amlogic S905X4-K chip (with the dolby vision license) but can't get DV FEL to work in CoreElec V21.0. There is very little written about this little box as the...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I now have a couple of FEL P7 DT DV movies that I want to convert to FEL P7 ST in order to play them in Plex. I use macOS myself, is there a handy tool to convert/mux DT to ST? I heard RESET saying that it's now possible to do in MKVtoolnix, but I don't really know how to use that tool. I also downl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Go into the Plex settings and make sure that ' 'force profile 7'' is enabled. The Chromecast seems to have some EL/BL sync issues though. Check out this test file, there's is an encoding bug/artifacts in the HDR10 BL that FEL can fix but it doesn't work on the Chromecast. I also tried to let play P...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey guys, a question about getting DV FEL to work on the Google CC TV 4K. Yesterday after reading through this topic a bit I decided to try playing FEL files on my CC4K in Plex and had succes. I played RESET_9999's FEL test video ''This Device can Play DV FEL'' and it worked. Today I wanted to show ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Can somebody confirm if I can just copy the 'raw' m2ts file to my HDD? No, you'll get "fake" DV if you do that. You must remux to TS/M2TS or BDMV with the nightly tsmuxer. It sounds like you're using the very old tsmuxer. I use this version (had issues with the latest ones)... https://git...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had also tried that and that also failed, at the exact same place. Then I tried another movie and that one also failed with the same error but at 32%. Worst thing is I don't even understand the error very much so I don't know how to solve it. Tried Googling it but people...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I understand. I am now muxing them with Tsmuxer in anticipation for my x700 to arrive probably in 2 days. I muxed 1 with succes but got a “Reading buffer overflow. Possible container streams are not syncronized. Please, verify stream fps.” error during the second one. This doesn't matter wheather I ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What does 'forced subtitles' mean? I didn't get this part. Forced Subtitles are subtitles that display even when you have subtitles turned off. A classic example is Sean Connery speaking Russian at the beginning of The Hunt for Red October (1990) . Is this the same as 'hardsubs' aka 'baked in' subs?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks Jayper! So BDMV is only 1 movies at a time huh? In that case I will gladly move to .ts files. I don't mind losing chapter information as I usually never use the function to begin with. It would be nice of course but no disaster. It would have been nice to be able to use DLNA, but something te...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum. I've literally been reading about Dolby Vision for 7 hours straight as I am a noob and right now there is literal steam coming out of my ear and I just want to ask a couple of questions. I have a Panasonic DV-ready OLED (JZ1000) and am about to order a S...
