CSS Encrypted Backup to ISO for DVD and Bluray on Linux
Hi all, I wanted to find a method that works for both DVD and Blurays that allows for backing up / cloning on Linux with CSS intact . In MakeMKV, I see the decrypt checkbox checked (and unable to be unchecked) when I try to back up DVDs. For Blurays, that option can be toggled on and off in my exper...

Re: Are backups worth it in the long run?
Thanks for sharing! I think I might just keep the disks themselves as the backups and keep only the mkv as the digital portion. I can get 1/2 of the space back I have now. I'm worried about burning out the GPU/CPU so I don't use handbrake at all. I might look into it in the future.

Re: Newbie suggestions for hardware
I appreciate the link to the SDFTool! I did not see that while I was browsing the forum. They have a lot of data on the flashing page, so I will definitely have to do more research on my end for it. I was interested in the BP60NB10, as it seems to be in my price range. I might end up going with it. ...

Newbie suggestions for hardware
Hi all, I have never ripped before and saw this video by Jeff Geerling (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ8ijmy3qPo) and it motivated me to do the same except the NAS part. I have seen the UHD post with the drive list and I was about to get the one Jeff mentions in the video (Pioneer BDR-XD07UHD 4K ...
