Tried it again and it's working again -- would it make sense to have intermittent issues with the blue laser like this?

The blue laser is dead. DVDs use the red laser.

Having a similar issue. Shows "no disc inserted" when i insert a bluray or UHD Bluray. when i put in a DVD it works. Have used this drive successfully for ~3 years. Seems like a software issue. Drive Information Manufacturer: ASUS Product: BW-16D1HT Revision: 3.02 Firmware date: 2117-11-24...
