Does a Raspberry Pi work with Docker containers for that automated rip or are you taking about the Snap package?

Re: MakeMKV on Raspberry PI (ARM)
Glad I found this thread! I've been looking for a way to network attach my drives with a MakeMKV interface.
This is the way!
One RPi per drive (connected to a fileshare on my NAS), and I never have to turn on my PC to rip discs again!

Google Fiber can't do it, but T-Mobile can.

Re: Automatic SDF/HK downloading is disabled or failed messages
I've been seeing this error lately: "Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed." After I see it, the drive starts acting sporadically until I pull out the disc. That happened twice until the 3rd run which I've logged below: Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=[REDACTED]) Using direct disc...

Re: Dark mode for MAKEMKV?
Dark mode exists in Linux.
In the TrueCharts version on TrueNAS, the Docker container lets you enable dark mode with an environment variable.
Even the progress bars look different when you do it. Might be that version of the Linux GUI which changes to dark mode though.

Way to rename rips for Plex?
Hi! I've been ripping DVDs for the kids, but I often spend hours renaming everything for Plex. I just bought a ton of Blu-ray movies, and after ripping them all, it's gonna be weeks of every-night renaming to get them Plex-ready. It's really bad for special features considering the box doesn't alway...

Re: Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID FIELD IN CDB'
A PC restart fixed most of my issues. But I'm not sure that actually did anything. I'm wondering if the drives got hot and that warped the discs enough to make reading problematic. I ripped 70 discs in the last few days, and it appears to be the drives I have manufactured in September 2022 that have...

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
I have 4 of these drives and flashed the to the `HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin` firmware version (the one for LG 5.25" drives). This worked fine for most discs, but certain UHD discs seem to have trouble; showing CDB errors: "Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVA...

Re: Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID FIELD IN CDB'
How can you tell if you have a triple-layer disc?
I have 4 of the same drive type: ASUS BW-16D1X-U. Is it possible I need to buy another model? I bought these drives within the last year.

Just noticed this same issue with the Ultra HD Blu-ray of Grease. The Blu-ray seems to be reading fine. Re: Drive doesn't read after rip
I found out this was related to the auto-ripper in the Docker image. So long as that's enabled, it kills the ability to read from Blu-Ray drives even when using DVD discs.
DVD drives work fine though. Not sure why that's an issue.

How do you know? I have an ASUS external drive that I bought from Micro Center. I'm curious how to tell a fraud vs a real one.

Drive doesn't read after rip
Hi! I'm running MakeMKV through a Docker image of the Linux build on TrueNAS (side note, my purchase key doesn't work on this; only the free beta key). My drive is the ASUS BW-16D1X-U. Not sure about the firmware version. Most-likely the latest since the last update was released in 2018, and I bough...
