Re: "Fake playlist" protection - help needed
This sure helped me, I've been used to seeing many files, but I could pick the largest one and it would be right. Midway- 4K UHD and the 1080p disks both had about 80 files that were all the largest size, so on both I just picked the first one, both were wrong, I didn't know about this Fake Playlist...

Which Java file to use for menus
Which Java file do I use to get the menu for both Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon. For Windows, is it the Java.exe? Name and location on Mint for the java file if you don't mind.

Re: Ripping Blu Ray to later Upscale to 4K?
Reading up on it, this Topaz doesn't seem to do anything more than HandBrake does, and HandBrake is free and Open Source and the learning curve isn't too tough on HandBrake. Took you 9 hours for one episode, wow that's horrible. I use the h.265 10-bit NVEnc that uses the chip in my video card for 4K...

Re: Why is BETA name still there after purchase?
Thanks for the replies.
Of course beta doesn't mean demo, but I understand how that could be misunderstood. Just as an RC isn't a demo either.
The liability thing makes sense.

Why is BETA name still there after purchase?
I was wondering if the name of the program would ever change.
I bought it and entered my key and it says registered expires never, but it's still named MakeMKV BETA.
I mean it's no big deal, just curious why the naming didn't change.

Just purchased thank you for all the beta keys
I just purchased MakeMKV, thank you for all the beta keys, little pricey, but worth it, and I would say with all the beta keys I've used, it was money well spent. Thank you for this fantastic software.

Re: Drive flashed fine, UHD rip failed
Thank you, I did know not to go round and round on the cleaning motion, but to go back and forth from the hole to the outside of the disc, the soap and water sound great, I will give all my discs a clean with my Dawn dishwashing soap I use. I have always been extremely careful to only touch the disc...

Re: Drive flashed fine, UHD rip failed
Great, I'll clean that 4K Moonfall disc and see if that solves the problem. It ripped my Oppenheimer 4K UHD disc that was delivered yesterday brilliantly, then the encode I did was flawless to where visually you can't tell the difference from the actual disc to the encoded file, My server liked the ...

Re: Drive flashed fine, UHD rip failed
It didn't rip at all, did these errors then stopped.
My 4K Oppenheimer disk just got delivered and it ripped and encoded fine, guess that 4K Moonfall just won't rip.
Oh and that 4K Moonfall disk was brand new, never been played before.
