Re: BDR-XD07J-UHD UHD Firmware
Thanks MartyMcNuts and segfaulted. The problem was solved thanks to both your help. I just installed the apt version of MakeMKV in the end and that worked without issue. Windows 11 also worked fine when I tested it just now. Sorry I should have thought to try that sooner. Thanks again for both your ...

Re: BDR-XD07J-UHD UHD Firmware
Can you test some other UHD discs? It may be that your Shang Chi disc isn't supported but that would be quite odd as it's been around for a couple of years, unless it's a new pressing perhaps. You can email in the generated dump file to svq@makemkv.com and wait a couple of weeks for the key to be a...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool
UPDATE: Hopefully this will help someone out. I think I found a way to rebuild the ssif into a UDF 2.5 compatible iso file. Basically you need to follow the instructions here. https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=782ca1c76ea6056ba0ba443420ca0d0d&p=1652967#post1652967 """ 7) U...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool
Uhm I'm not exactly sure what you mean by example and search term?! The purpose of the program is simply to re-generated the *.ssif files from the *.smap files if someone wants to do that for whichever reason - and if it's just to archive an exact backup of the BD, but not wanting to store the orig...

Re: hkdata.crabdance.com or hkdata.fairuse.org not found
Stumbled across this problem today when trying to rip Oppenheimer UHD. My DNS resolver returns the IP mentioned above and I can wget/curl from both sites - altough crabdance's TLS cert is expired. Is there a way to force makemkv to user one or another (or a custom) site to fetch keys? I can downloa...

Re: Region Code Error
I apologize to bump an old thread but since it is the first result for this error on google I figure I might as well put a solution here for others who might experience it. I never used to get this error but I just started getting it with the latest beta update. The error went away when I stopped ru...
